Hampton Court, the Haunted Palace

Hampton Court palace is thought to be one of the most haunted buildings in England. With many famous ghost sightings including King Henry the 8th, Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, and even two of King Henry’s wives.

Hampton Court is home to the worlds Biggest Flower Show.

 

Every year the Palace needs receives a record number of visitors due to the world famous Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

 

The show is usually held in early July every year and exclusively opened for two days to the Royal Horticultural Society and then open for several days to general public ticket holders.

 

Every year the Palace also hosts a number of special events, including the Hampton Court Palace Festival which was first held in 1993 and is just as popular today. The concert celebrates the musical talents of many leading music artists and continues as Palace tradition that was introduced by monarchs and nobility in the 16th and 17th century. Since this time the Palace has hosted concerts and entertainment in the Base Court of the Palace.

Hampton Court Flower Show

Henry VIII’s magnificent riverside palace is set in over 600 acres of gardens, grounds and parkland yet it the Palace started life as a small Manor House in the 1300’s. Now popular with tourists from all over the world the Tudor Palace has many attractions such as King Henry the 3rd’s Apartments, Young Henry the 3rd’s Life Story, Henry VIII's Kitchens, Mantegna's Triumphs of Caesar, Mary II's Apartments, William III's Apartments, Georgian Private Apartments or the world famous Palace Gardens to provide every visitor with a varied and enjoyable day.
